Swami Debananda Ashram, Bagapani (Assam)
This branch of Swami Debananda Ashram was established in 1996 at Bagapani Colony, P.O- Bagapani, Dist- Tinsukia, Assam. From Guahati this ashram at Bagapani is 512 km by train via Tinsukia. From Tinsukia to Bagapani it is 26 km and can be travelled both by bus and train. This ashram lies in the lap of nature. It is surrounded by a picturesque landscape with hills covered with tea plantations rising at its back. It has the perfect milieu for the life of a recluse who desires to spend his life in contemplation and sadhana.
Like all other branches of Swami Debananda Ashram, this branch is also headed by a saffron-clad monk. Regular spiritual programmes of the ashram include puja, prayer, meditation, naamgaan, and atmacharcha or self-analytical discussion. As discipline is the hallmark of Swami Debananda Ashram, like all other ashrams, here too every activity is time bound and is regulated by the tolling of bells. From time to time His Holiness, Swami Debananda Maharaj, visits this ashram and gives darshan to the devotees.
